New integration lets travelers discover and book top attractions and activities while planning their route

Travelers can now discover and book popular attractions, tours, and activities while planning how to get to their destination, expanding the Rome2Rio platform from “how to get there” to also “what to do there.”
Nearly 40% of Rome2Rio users are undecided on a destination when they start planning, and searches for secondary cities have increased by 35% in the last year, underscoring the importance of travel discovery. Through the integration, Rome2Rio users can browse and book GetYourGuide’s global catalog of 200,000 travel experiences across 18,000 cities, including iconic attractions, guided tours and cultural experiences, outdoor activities, and museum tickets, creating new opportunities for travelers to discover destinations and the activities that bring them to life.

The integration with GetYourGuide is Rome2Rio’s first strategic partnership with an activities provider, introducing a new product category and booking capability to the platform.

At launch, GetYourGuide experiences will appear within Rome2Rio in two locations: within search results and in a dedicated navigation tab.
- “Things to do” module in search results: After planning a route between destinations, users will see recommended attractions and activities at their destination, displayed below transportation results.
- Dedicated navigation tab: A new “Experiences” tab in Rome2Rio’s main navigation will give travelers direct access to discover and book GetYourGuide activities across destinations worldwide – from major cities to lesser-known destinations and local hidden gems.
The GetYourGuide integration will be amplified by a dedicated media campaign on Rome2Rio, specifically targeting GetYourGuide’s top travel corridors across multiple regions.
